Private lessons at the Camperdown Dojo

The Campersdown Dojo is a small Dojo I built behind my house near my pool with my Japanese garden all around it.

It is where I do most of my teaching to my daughters as they start the  journey to adult Black Belt.

I have times available spring, fall and summer on Wednesdays, Thursdays and weekend afternoons.

Classes are $25.00 per 30-45 minutes.

Makiwara

A device used in Okinawa to toughen the striking part of the hands and build power in the stance and connective tissues. I have one near the Camperdown Dojo

During construction

The  Dojo was built during the Winter of 2005-2006 and is just the right size for 2-3 people to train together. Set just far enough away to escape from the home and do some training in a beautiful setting.

It has a small courtyard beside it surrounded by a Japanese style plank fence.

Sensei built it with the help of his friend the owner of American Home Repair. the fence, paver courtyard, painting and landscaping was all done in his copious free time. The large window is plexiglass just in case....

The Dojo is dedicated to Abraham Fitz John Channell, my 5th great grandfather and soldier in the American Revolution.
